First time visiting and will definitely be back. Really nice walk around the Loch and so peaceful. There are lots of birds and I saw many nesting in the trees. There is a really nice cafe with great views and the staff are so inviting and friendly. Food was well presented and really tasty.
Very lovely place to have breakfast or lunch. Very kids friendly. Has a lot play areas for kids. Good for family hangout or group trip. Beautiful view of the hills, farmlands and forest. Highly recommended. A must see!!
A pretty little slice of countryside just 15 minutes drive out of Livingston. We arrived on a slightly damp and distinctly overcast afternoon to find the car park absolutely empty and no other guests around. We had an enjoyable if chilly walk down to the Loch and were able to see everything we wanted to and get some great photographs with no one else around. There were swans and ducks nearby who seemed very surprised to see us. After this we wondered into the Visitor Centre to have a look round the shop, chat to the friendly staff and have an excellent coffee in the cafe.
A great place to walk and get fresh air through your lungs after the excesses of Christmas. Plenty of well maintained paths to follow so you can avoid getting muddy and a great little cafe to start or finish off your walk.
Awesome place, well looked after. Shame about the dog owners that don't pick up there mess.. Cafe is out of this world... Great day out to be had there.
